Journal ArticleDOI
TRAIL induces necroptosis involving RIPK1/RIPK3-dependent PARP-1 activation.
S. Jouan-Lanhouet,Muhammad Imran Arshad,Muhammad Imran Arshad,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Corinne Martin-Chouly,Corinne Martin-Chouly,G Le Moigne-Muller,G Le Moigne-Muller,F Van Herreweghe,Nozomi Takahashi,Odile Sergent,Odile Sergent,Dominique Lagadic-Gossmann,Dominique Lagadic-Gossmann,Peter Vandenabeele,Michel Samson,Michel Samson,M-T Dimanche-Boitrel,M-T Dimanche-Boitrel +19 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the role of RIPK1, RIPK3 and PARP-1 in TRAIL-induced necroptosis in vitro and in concanavalin A-induced murine hepatitis suggests that pharmacological inhibitors ofRIPKs and PARp-1 could be new treatment options for immune-mediated hepatitis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crucial and Diverse Role of the Interleukin-33/ST2 Axis in Infectious Diseases
Octavie Rostan,Muhammad Imran Arshad,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Florence Robert-Gangneux,Jean-Pierre Gangneux,Michel Samson,Michel Samson +7 more
TL;DR: Exploring the crucial and diverse roles of the IL-33/ST2 axis during infections may help in the development of therapeutic interventions for a wide range of infectious diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
TRAIL but not FasL and TNFα, regulates IL‐33 expression in murine hepatocytes during acute hepatitis
Muhammad Imran Arshad,Muhammad Imran Arshad,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Annie L'Helgoualc'h,Annie L'Helgoualc'h,Michel Rauch,Michel Rauch,Solène Patrat-Delon,Solène Patrat-Delon,Frédéric Ezan,Frédéric Ezan,Catherine Lucas-Clerc,Sabrina Nabti,Agnès Lehuen,Francisco Javier Cubero,Jean-Philippe Girard,Christian Trautwein,Michel Samson,Michel Samson +19 more
TL;DR: The expression of IL‐33 during acute hepatitis is dependent on TRAIL, but not on FasL or TNFα, and expression in hepatocytes is partially controlled by perforin during acute liver injury, but not by TNFβ, FasL, or Fas ligand (FasL).
Journal ArticleDOI
NKT cells are required to induce high IL‐33 expression in hepatocytes during ConA‐induced acute hepatitis
Muhammad Imran Arshad,Michel Rauch,Annie L'Helgoualc'h,Valérie Julia,Maria Leite-de-Moraes,Catherine Lucas-Clerc,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Michel Samson +7 more
TL;DR: Interestingly, invariant NKT (iNKT) cells adoptively transferred into ConA‐treated CD1d KO mouse restored IL‐33 expression in hepatocytes, which strongly suggests that NKT cells are responsible for the induction of IL‐ 33 in liver cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
IL‐33 and HMGB1 alarmins: sensors of cellular death and their involvement in liver pathology
Muhammad Imran Arshad,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Claire Piquet-Pellorce,Michel Samson,Michel Samson +4 more
TL;DR: This review highlights the emerging roles of alarmin proteins in various liver pathologies, by focusing on classical HMGB1 and a newly discoveredAlarmin, the IL‐33.
