Multilevel Analysis for Applied Research—It's Just Regression!

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between perceived organizational justice (distributive justice, procedural justice and interactional justice) job satisfaction and organization commitment among employees of National Blood centre in Kuala Lumpur. A quantitative descriptive method was employed through the use of survey to collect the data to obtain relevant information from respondents. A total of 169 employees participated in this study. Data was analysed using SPSS applying both differential and inferential method. Regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were utilized to determine the correlation between variables. Findings from this study demonstrated that interactional justice is the most influential factors that effects job satisfaction and organization commitment in the organization followed by distributive justice and procedural justice. Perceived organizational justice was expected to correlate significantly with both dependent variables which is job satisfaction and organization commitment.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of ownership structure on dividend payout (DIV) ratio of 100 companies related to non-financial sector listed in Karachi stock exchange for the sample period of 2011–2015. Fixed effects model as a panel data analysis technique indicates that managerial ownership (MO) has shown significant and negative impact on DIV which indicates that as MO rise, they will prefer to retain instead of distribution. Institutional ownership is showing significant and positive behavior with DIV ratio which also showing favorable arguments for dividend distribution. Change in earnings and operating cash flows as control variables are not making variation in DIV. This study investigated the relationship between value relevance and ethical standards as determinants of commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and customer loyalty with the intervening effect of customer satisfaction, corporate reputation, and trust. In this study we want to examine the relationship between free cash flow and dividend in presence of a moderator firm size. Results indicate proxies of free cash flow have positive and highly statistically significant relationship with free cash flow. Second model of moderator showed results insignificant with relationship between FCF and dividend. In simple regression of free cash flow and dividend, results were also insignificant which also indicate that there is no relationship in these variables. In our study we have used panel data analysis and to check the time and cross sectional effect, dummies has used. The results were highly statistically significant across the mostly companies and free cash flow but only two companies showing insignificant results. The results were insignificant across different periods. Our hypothesis was rejected under moderator but acceptable in fixed effect model.

Excessive trading phenomenon is contrary to the concept of traditional finance that is based on the rational expectation theorem and efficient market hypothesis. Therefore, this study is aimed at exploring the existence of overconfidence behavior in the stock market. The market-wide panel VAR model is used to investigate the lead–lag relationship between stock returns and turnover. Our results suggest that investors are overconfident in Pakistani stock market because turnover depends directly upon stock returns. The findings have important implications for investors and brokers for developing appropriate trading strategy.
