Van Dyk,Marc Williamson,Yi Yang,Wei Zheng,Asia deGraw,Ori D. Fox,Elinor L. Gates,Connor Jennings,R. Michael Rich +20 more
TL;DR: In this article , three epochs of early-time ultraviolet (UV) and optical HST/STIS spectroscopy of the young, nearby Type IIP supernova (SN) 2021yja are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hubble Space Telescope Imaging Reveals That SN 2015bh Is Much Fainter than Its Progenitor
Jacob E. Jencson,David J. Sand,Jennifer E. Andrews,Nathan Smith,Jay Strader,Mojgan Aghakhanloo,Jeniveve Pearson,Stefano Valenti +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the site of a massive star explosion in the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 2770 was observed with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) between 2017 and 2019, nearly four years after the peak of the explosion.

Eruptive Mass Loss in Very Massive Stars and Population III Stars
TL;DR: The role played by short-duration eruptive mass loss in the evolution of very massive stars was discussed in this paper, where the role of luminous blue variable (LBV) eruptions in stellar evolution was discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution of the Reverse Shock Emission from SNR 1987A
Kevin Heng,Richard McCray,Svetozar A. Zhekov,P. Challis,Roger A. Chevalier,Arlin P. S. Crotts,Claes Fransson,Peter M. Garnavich,Robert P. Kirshner,Stephen S. Lawrence,Peter Lundqvist,Nino Panagia,Chun S. J. Pun,Nathan Smith,Jesper Sollerman,Lifan Wang +15 more
TL;DR: Smith et al. as discussed by the authors presented new (2004 July) G750L and G140L Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) data of the H-alpha and Ly-alpha emission from supernova remnant (SNR) 1987A.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dusty silhouette jet HH 1019 in the Carina Nebula
TL;DR: The Herbig-Haro jet, HH 1019, was identified by a linear chain of dark, dusty knots that are seen primarily in silhouette against the background screen of the H II region.
