Effect of different levels of alpha tocopherol on performance traits, serum antioxidant enzymes, and trace elements in Japanese quail ( Coturnix coturnix japonica ) under low ambient temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of vitamin E supplementation on growth, serum antioxidant enzymes, and some trace elements in Japanese quail (Coturnix cotturnix japonica) under low ambient temperature was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interactive effect of exogenous protease enzyme and dietary crude protein levels on growth and digestibility indices in broiler chickens during the starter phase.

TL;DR: A diet having 21% CP supplemented with 30,000 IU/kg protease enzyme was superior in improving the performance and digestibility of nutrients in broiler during the starter phase, and CP and apparent metabolizable energy (AME) were significantly higher in birds fed withCP along with supplementation of enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI

Public health risk of heavy metal residues in meat and edible organs of broiler in an intensive production system of a region in Pakistan

TL;DR: It was concluded from the present study that broiler farms near the roadside/canal and waste disposal site/wastewater drains cause accomulaiton of high concentrations of some heavy metals in meat and internal organs of broiler birds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improving the nutritional value and digestibility of wheat straw, rice straw, and corn cob through solid state fermentation using different Pleurotus species

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to identify a promising fungus-substrate combination for the selective degradation of lignin and optimal improvement in the nutritional value and digestibility of each substrate.
