The Lyα Properties of Faint Galaxies at z ~ 2-3 with Systemic Redshifts and Velocity Dispersions from Keck-MOSFIRE
Dawn K. Erb,Charles C. Steidel,Ryan F. Trainor,Milan Bogosavljević,Alice E. Shapley,Daniel B. Nestor,Kristin R. Kulas,David R. Law,Allison L. Strom,Gwen C. Rudie,Gwen C. Rudie,Naveen A. Reddy,Max Pettini,Nicholas P. Konidaris,Gregory N. Mace,Keith Matthews,Ian S. McLean +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the Lyα profiles of 36 spectroscopically detected Lyα-emitters (LAEs) at z ~ 2-3, using Keck MOSFIRE to measure systemic redshifts and velocity dispersions from rest-frame optical nebular emission lines.

Design and development of MOSFIRE, the Multi-Object Spectrometer For Infra-Red Exploration at the Keck Observatory
Ian S. McLean,Charles C. Steidel,Harland W. Epps,Keith Matthews,Sean M. Adkins,Nicholas P. Konidaris,Bob Weber,Ted Aliado,George Brims,John Canfield,John Cromer,Jason Fucik,Kristin R. Kulas,Greg Mace,Ken Magnone,Hector Rodriguez,Eric Wang,Jason Weiss +17 more
TL;DR: MOSFIRE as discussed by the authors is a unique multi-object spectrometer and imager for the Cassegrain focus of the 10 m Keck 1 telescope, which can provide near-IR (0.97 to 2.45 μm) multioriental spectroscopy over a 6.14' x 6.8' field of view with a resolving power of R~3,270 for a 0.7" slit width (2.9 pixels in the dispersion direction).
