Journal ArticleDOI

Reduced ultraviolet light induced degradation and enhanced light harvesting using YVO4:Eu3+ down-shifting nano-phosphor layer in organometal halide perovskite solar cells

TL;DR: In this article, a transparent luminescent downshifting (DS) YVO4:Eu3+ nano-phosphor layer was used to mitigate ultra-violet degradation in TiO2-based perovskite solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties of Ag nanoparticle layers deposited on silicon substrates

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of dipolar and quadrupolar resonances of silver nanoparticles on the reflectance reduction from the silicon substrate are discussed, and the effect of the surface plasmons of the metal nanoparticles is explained.
Journal ArticleDOI

Size and concentration effects of gold nanoparticles on optical and electrical properties of plasmonic dye sensitized solar cells

TL;DR: In this paper, gold nanoparticles of various sizes were synthesized and various concentrations were blended with TiO 2 nanopowder for fabricating conformal nanocomposite (NC) films, and the maximum enhancement in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) performance due to the enhanced near-field excitation of dye molecules along with incident light far-field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of surface plasmon resonances of silver nanoparticles on optical and electrical properties of textured silicon solar cell

TL;DR: In this paper, an average reflectance reduction of ∼8% in wavelength range of 300-1100nm after coupling surface plasmon resonances (SPRs) of silver nanoparticles (NPs) to textured silicon (T-Si) surface was reported.
