Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembled Nano-layering at the Adhesive Interface

TL;DR: Describing adhesive-dentin interfaces chemically and ultrastructurally revealed nano-layering at the adhesive interface, not only within the hybrid layer but also, particularly for Clearfil SE Bond (Kuraray), extending into the adhesive layer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nano-controlled molecular interaction at adhesive interfaces for hard tissue reconstruction

TL;DR: The advanced tooth-biomaterial interaction model gives not only an insight into the mechanisms of bond degradation, but also provides a basis to develop functional monomers for more durable tooth reconstruction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanolayering of phosphoric acid ester monomer on enamel and dentin.

TL;DR: It is concluded that self-assembled nanolayering occurs on enamel and dentin, even when following a clinically used application protocol, and the lower bonding effectiveness of mild self-etch adhesives to enamel should be ascribed in part to a lower chemical reactivity (nanolayered) with enamel HAp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibacterial effect of bactericide immobilized in resin matrix

TL;DR: Results demonstrated that the bactericidal molecule still possessed significant contact bacteriostatic activity when it was immobilized in the resin matrix, which is lower than the minimal concentration generally needed to inhibit biofilm formation.
