Perpendicular and parallel motion of a charged particle relatively to a graphene sheet: A hydrodynamic model approach in the electrostatic limit

TL;DR: In this article, the formation of plasmonic ship wakes due to the dragging of the surface plasmons induced by the motion of the charge is discussed. And the Froude number can be controlled externally tunning both the Fermi energy in graphene and the dielectric function of the environment, a situation with no parallel in ship wakes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Numerical Simulation of Heat Transfer Enhancement in Laminar Flow of Viscoelastic Fluids through a Rectangular Channel

TL;DR: In this article, a finite volume method is applied to the three-dimensional simulation of heat transfer of a viscoelastic fluid in laminar flow through a rectangular channel with an aspect ratio of 2 and constant heat flux at the channel walls.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strongly Coupled Magnon–Plasmon Polaritons in Graphene-Two-Dimensional Ferromagnet Heterostructures

TL;DR: In this article , the authors show that plasmons can form polaritons with the magnons of two-dimensional ferromagnetic insulators, placed up to to half a micrometer apart, with Rabi splittings in the range of 100 GHz (dramatically larger than cavity magnonics).
Journal ArticleDOI

Symmetries and pseudoparticle transformations in 1D non-Abelian quantum liquids

TL;DR: In this paper, the non-Abelian Hubbard chain in a magnetic field and chemical potential is considered and the set of different pseudoparticle types which generate the ground state from the suitable vacuum transform in the representation of the symmetry group U (1)⊕U(1),SU(2) ⊕ U(1,U(2),U (1),U( 1,U (2), SU(3), or SO(4) of parameter space is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magneto-optical Kerr effect in spin split two-dimensional massive Dirac materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the presence of spin-orbit interactions, combined with an exchange spin splitting induced either by diluted magnetic impurities or by proximity to a ferromagnetic insulator, gives origin to a net magneto-optical Kerr effect in such systems.
