Journal ArticleDOI

H2 storage in isostructural UiO-67 and UiO-66 MOFs.

TL;DR: The first complete structural, vibrational and electronic characterization of the isostructural UiO-67 material is reported, obtained using the longer 4,4'-biphenyl-dicarboxylate (BPDC) linker by combining laboratory XRPD, Zr K-edge EXAFS, TGA, FTIR, and UV-Vis studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of Metal and Anion Substitutions on the Hydrogen Storage Properties of M-BTT Metal–Organic Frameworks

TL;DR: Interestingly, the theoretical study has identified that the Zn-based analogs would be expected to facilitate enhanced adsorption profiles over the compounds synthesized experimentally, highlighting the importance of a combined experimental and theoretical approach to the design and synthesis of new frameworks for H(2) storage applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exploits, advances and challenges benefiting beyond Li-ion battery technologies

TL;DR: This review-study will address some of the relevant post-Li ion issues and battery technologies, including Na-ion batteries, Mg batteries, Ca- ion batteries, Zn-ION batteries, Al-ionBattery technologies, and anionic (F- and Cl-) shuttle batteries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent progress in magnesium borohydride Mg(BH4)2: Fundamentals and applications for energy storage

TL;DR: Magnesium borohydride (Mg(BH 4 ) 2 ) shows interesting properties both from fundamental and applicative points of view as mentioned in this paper, and has the most complex crystal structures and the largest number of phase polymorphs among other borhydrides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogen–fluorine exchange in NaBH4–NaBF4

TL;DR: This work shows that fluorine-substituted borohydrides tend to decompose to more stable compounds, e.g. NaF and BF3 or amorphous products such as closo-boranes, egs.
