Protein sequence redundancy reduction: comparison of various method

Kresimir Sikic, +1 more
- 27 Nov 2010 -
TL;DR: A systematic comparison of the features and of the outputs of these programs, by using subsets of the UniProt database, was performed and the results show high level of overlap between non-redundant datasets obtained with the same program fed with theSame initial dataset but different percentage of identity threshold.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ligands derived from o-benzoquinone : statistical correlation between oxidation state and structural features

TL;DR: In this article, a simple method is proposed to correlate the oxidation states of these ligands with their structural parameters, thus allowing the determination of the oxidation state on the basis of crystallographic data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of 7,5-fused bicyclic lactams by stereoselective radical cyclization

TL;DR: In this paper, 7,5-Fused bicyclic lactams of type 1 were synthesized by a route involving the radical cyclization of the intermediate 2, and a high level of stereoselection was obtained in this reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Statistical survey of the buried waters in the Protein Data Bank

TL;DR: It is remarkable to observe that prolines often surround water molecules buried in the protein interior, and clusters of buried water molecules tend to be just beneath the protein surface, which agrees with recent evidence of the mechanisms of solvent exchange between internal cavities and bulk solvent.
