Journal ArticleDOI
Electrically-Conductive Sub-Micron Carbon Particles from Lignin: Elucidation of Nanostructure and Use as Filler in Cellulose Nanopapers
Janea Köhnke,Harald Rennhofer,Christoph Unterweger,Notburga Gierlinger,Jozef Keckes,Cordt Zollfrank,Orlando J. Rojas,Wolfgang Gindl-Altmutter +7 more
TL;DR: The sub-micron carbon beads were clearly advantageous as a filler of cellulose nanopapers, which displayed better mechanical performance but with limited electrical conductivity and compression sensing was achieved for this nanocomposite system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hollow Filaments Synthesized by Dry-Jet Wet Spinning of Cellulose Nanofibrils: Structural Properties and Thermoregulation with Phase-Change Infills
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used dry-jet wet spinning in a coaxial configuration by extruding an aqueous colloidal suspension of oxidized nanocellulose (hydrogel shell) combined with airflow in the core.
Journal ArticleDOI
Benchmarking supramolecular adhesive behavior of nanocelluloses, cellulose derivatives and proteins.
Otso I. V. Luotonen,Luiz G. Greca,Gustav Nyström,Junling Guo,Joseph J. Richardson,Orlando J. Rojas,Blaise L. Tardy +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , three classes of naturally synthesized biopolymers are used as adhesives, namely nanocelluloses (CNFs), cellulose derivatives, and proteins by themselves and when used as additives with CNCs.
