Journal ArticleDOI

Lymphokine inducing "terminal differentiation" of the human monoblast leukemia line U937: a role for gamma interferon.

TL;DR: The Fc-receptor-inducing activity of lymphokine was inhibited by a neutralizing monoclonal antibody to gamma-interferon, suggesting that this differentiation factor in lymphokines is gamma-interspine, which is a differentiation modulator for the monoblast cells.
Journal Article

Expression and induction in vitro of macrophage differentiation antigens on murine cell lines.

TL;DR: The surface structure associated with Mac-1 antigen appears to be involved in differentiation of macrophages, and antiMac-1 does not block the detection of Mac-3 antigen on induced M1 cells, but the presence of anti-Mac-2 antibody during induction partially blocked the appearance of Mac3 antigen.
Journal Article

Human B cell-inducing factor(s) for production of IgM, IgG and IgA: independence from IL 2.

TL;DR: BIF, purified through four fractionation steps and free of IL 2, induces IgM, IgG, and IgA-ISC in approximately the same ratio as unfractionated lymphokine, and the possibility of separate factors for the production of each immunoglobulin isotype cannot be ruled out.
