Limits on WIMP dark matter using scintillating CaWO4 cryogenic detectors with active background suppression
G. Angloher,C. Bucci,P. Christ,C. Cozzini,F. von Feilitzsch,D. Hauff,S. Henry,Th. Jagemann,J. Jochum,H. Kraus,B. Majorovits,Jelena Ninkovic,F. Petricca,W. Potzel,F. Pröbst,Y. Ramachers,M. Razeti,W. Rau,W. Seidel,M. Stark,Leo Stodolsky,A. J. B. Tolhurst,W. Westphal,H. R. T. Wulandari +23 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the first significant limits on WIMP dark matter by the phonon-light technique, where combined phonon and light signals from a scintillating cryogenic detector are used.
Journal ArticleDOI
The CRESST Dark Matter Search
Bela Majorovits,G. Angloher,C. Bucci,P. Christ,C. Cozzini,F. von Feilitzsch,D. Hauff,S. Henry,Th. Jagemann,J. Jochum,H. Kraus,V. B. Mikhailik,Jelena Ninkovic,F. Petricca,W. Potzel,F. Proebst,Y. A. Ramachers,M. Razeti,W. Rau,W. Seidel,M. Stark,Leo Stodolsky,A. J. B. Tolhurst,D. Wahl,W. Westphal,H. R. T. Wulandari +25 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the first competitive results on WIMP dark matter detection using the phonon-light-detection technique, showing that the observed count rate in the neutron band is compatible with the rate expected from the neutron background.
Journal ArticleDOI
EURECA — the European Future of Dark Matter Searches with Cryogenic Detectors
H. Kraus,M. Bauer,I. Bavykina,Alain Benoit,J. Blümer,A. Broniatowski,V.B. Brudanin,G. Burghart,Philippe Camus,A. Chantelauze,M. Chapellier,G. Chardin,P. Christ,C. Ciemniak,C. Coppi,M. Westphal,P. Wikus,J. Wolf,E. Yakushev +67 more
TL;DR: The European Underground Rare Event Calorimeter Array (EURECA) as discussed by the authors is a new project, searching for dark matter, with largely the present groups of the CRESST and EDELWEISS experiments and already a few new groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The European Underground Rare Event Calorimeter Array (EURECA) as mentioned in this paper is a new project, searching for dark matter, with largely the present groups of the CRESST and EDELWEISS experiments and already a few new groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
High detection sensitivity achieved with cryogenic detectors in combination with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time-of-flight mass spectrometry.
TL;DR: A dilution series, using standard sample preparation procedures, shows that the detection limit for insulin can be decreased by several orders of magnitude, down to 0.5 amol on the MALDI target.
