Abciximab Facilitates the Rate and Extent of Thrombolysis Results of the Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) 14 Trial
Elliott M. Antman,Robert P. Giugliano,C. Michael Gibson,Carolyn H. McCabe,P Coussement,Neal S. Kleiman,Alec Vahanian,A.A.Jennifer Adgey,Ian B. A. Menown,Hans J. Rupprecht,R. Van der Wieken,John Ducas,Joel C Scherer,Keaven M. Anderson,Frans Van de Werf,Eugene Braunwald +15 more
TL;DR: Abciximab facilitates the rate and extent of thrombolysis, producing early, marked increases in TIMI 3 flow when combined with half the usual dose of alteplase, and substantial reductions in heparin dosing may reduce the risk of bleeding even further.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cyclosporine before PCI in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction
Thien-Tri Cung,Olivier Morel,Guillaume Cayla,Gilles Rioufol,David Garcia-Dorado,Denis Angoulvant,Eric Bonnefoy-Cudraz,Patrice Guerin,Meier Elbaz,Nicolas Delarche,Pierre Coste,Gérald Vanzetto,Marc Metge,Jean-François Aupetit,Bernard Jouve,Pascal Motreff,Christophe Tron,Jean-Noël Labèque,Philippe Gabriel Steg,Yves Cottin,Grégoire Rangé,Jérôme Clerc,Marc J. Claeys,P Coussement,Fabrice Prunier,Frédéric Moulin,Olivier Roth,Loic Belle,Philippe Dubois,Paul Barragan,Martine Gilard,Christophe Piot,Patrice Colin,Fabien de Poli,Marie-Claude Morice,Omar Ider,Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé,Thierry Unterseeh,Hervé Le Breton,Thierry Beard,Didier Blanchard,Gilles Grollier,Vincent Malquarti,P. Staat,Arnaud Sudre,Eskil Elmér,Magnus Hansson,Cyrille Bergerot,Inesse Boussaha,Claire Jossan,Geneviève Derumeaux,Nathan Mewton,Michel Ovize +52 more
TL;DR: In patients with anterior STEMI who had been referred for primary PCI, intravenous cyclosporine did not result in better clinical outcomes than those with placebo and did not prevent adverse left ventricular remodeling at 1 year.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combination reperfusion therapy with abciximab and reduced dose reteplase: results from TIMI 14
Elliott M. Antman,C M Gibson,J.A. de Lemos,Robert P. Giugliano,Carolyn H. McCabe,P Coussement,Ian Menown,Christoph A. Nienaber,T.C Rehders,Martin J. Frey,R. Van der Wieken,D Andresen,Joel C Scherer,Keaven M. Anderson,F. Van de Werf,Eugene Braunwald +15 more
TL;DR: Reduced doses of reteplase when administered in combination with abciximab were associated with higher TIMI 3 flow rates than reported previously for reduced doses ofreteplases without abcximab and were at least as high as for full dose retePlase alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long term effects of nisoldipine on the progression of coronary atherosclerosis and the occurrence of clinical events: the NICOLE study
Joseph Dens,Walter Desmet,P Coussement,I. De Scheerder,Konstantinos Kostopoulos,Pitsanu Kerdsinchai,Chumpol Supanantaroek,J. Piessens +7 more
TL;DR: Nisoldipine has no demonstrable effect on the angiographic progression of coronary atherosclerosis or the risk of major cardiovascular events but its use is associated with fewer revascularisation procedures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Abciximab (ReoPro) potentiates thrombolysis in ST elevation myocardial infarction: results of TIMI 14 trials
Elliot M Antman,RP Giugliano,Carolyn H. McCabe,Michael F. Gibson,A.J.J. Adgey,Magdi Ghali,P Coussement,Keaven M. Anderson,Joel C Scherer,F. Van de Werf,Eugene Braunwald +10 more
