Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of hydrogen on the orientation of carbon layers in deposits from the carbon monoxide disproportionation reaction over Co/Al2O3 catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the solid product of CO disproportionation over well-calibrated Co/Al2O3 catalysts was studied by HRTEM, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanotubes and nanofilaments from carbon monoxide disproportionation over Co/MgO catalysts: I. Growth versus catalyst state

TL;DR: In this article, the pyrolysis of Co and Mg nitrates and citric acid after their co-dissolution in water was used for carbon deposition from CO. This process is therefore suitable for preparing nanotubes or nanofilaments with good shape selectivity and 98 wt% purity.
Journal ArticleDOI

The role of phosphorus in the growth of vapour-grown carbon fibres obtained by catalytic decomposition of hydrocarbons

TL;DR: In this article, it was found that different as-received commercial graphite supports, according to their impurity content, could promote or inhibit the growth of VGCF growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fe(NO3)3.9H2O and Fe3(CO)12 as catalyst precursors for the elaboration of VGCF: SEM and TEM study—improvement of the process

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of two catalyst precursors, namely Fe(NO 3 ) 3.9H 2 O and Fe 3 (CO) 12, on the elaboration of carbon fibres was investigated.
