Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional structure of human serum albumin.

TL;DR: The three-dimensional structure of human serum albumin has been solved at 6.0 angstrom (A) resolution by the method of multiple isomorphous replacement and revealed the structure as a predominantly alpha-helical globin protein in which the course of the polypeptide can be traced.
Journal ArticleDOI

X-ray and primary structure of horse serum albumin (Equus caballus) at 0.27-nm resolution.

TL;DR: The amino-acid sequence and three-dimensional structure of equine serum albumin have been determined and two binding sites for 2,3,5-triiodobenzoic acid identical with those previously reported for human serumalbumin which are located within subdomains in IIA and IIIA are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Protein crystal growth aboard the U.S. space shuttle flights STS-31 and STS-32.

TL;DR: The results obtained from shuttle flight STS-32 are presented, which indicated that the microgravity grown crystals for a number of different proteins were larger, displayed more uniform morphologies, and yielded diffraction data to significantly higher resolutions than the best crystals of these proteins grown on earth.
