Vinylphosphane—how effective is π-donation from phosphorus lone pairs?
TL;DR: Ab initio calculations show that vinylphosphane prefers a ground state geometry with the phosphorus lone pair perpendicular to the alkene π-system as mentioned in this paper, which is not the case for most other materials.
