Acrocomia aculeata prevents toxicogenetic damage caused by the antitumor agent cyclophosphamide.

TL;DR: The results suggest that A. aculeate AO and PO can be classified as a functional food and also enrich other functional foods and nutraceuticals with chemopreventive features, however, they are not appropriate sources for chemotherapeutic adjuvants, in particular for those used in combination with cyclophosphamide.

Assessment of the cytotoxic, genotoxic, and mutagenic potential of Acrocomia aculeata in rats.

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that OPAC did not exhibit cytotoxic, genot toxic, or mutagenic effects in Wistar rats, thereby increasing the evidence for the safety of oil extracted from this plant.
