Semiconductor device having a transparent switching element
Johannes Franciscus Maria Cillessen,Paulus Wilhelmus Maria Blom,Ronald Martin Wolf,Jacobus Bernardus Giesbers +3 more
TL;DR: In this article, a degenerate semiconductor material with a basic material having a bandgap between conduction band (11) and valence band (12) of electrons greater than 2.5 eV was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferroelectric Schottky diode.
Paulus Wilhelmus Maria Blom,Ronald Martin Wolf,Johannes Franciscus Maria Cillessen,Marcellinus Petrus Carolus Michael Krijn +3 more
TL;DR: In this article, an on/off ratio of about 2 orders of magnitude was obtained in a structure consisting of a 0.2 µm ferroelectric PbTi${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ film, a Au Schottky contact, and a bottom electrode.

Switching element with memory provided with Schottky tunnelling barrier
TL;DR: In this article, a switching element is provided with two electrodes (1, 2) with a semiconducting dielectric (3) therebetween, one electrode (2) having a material which forms a Schottky contact with the semiconductor dielectrics (3), while a space charge region (3') of the Schottiness contact forms a tunnelling barrier for electrons during operation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Field-dependent permittivity in metal-semiconducting SrTiO3 Schottky diodes
R. A. van der Berg,Paulus Wilhelmus Maria Blom,Johannes Franciscus Maria Cillessen,Ronald Martin Wolf +3 more
TL;DR: In this article, the field dependence of the dielectric constant of SrTiO3 was investigated using the capacitance versus bias voltage characteristics of various metal Nb Schottky diodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth, structuring and characterisation of all-oxide thin film devices prepared by pulsed laser deposition
Johannes Franciscus Maria Cillessen,Ronald Martin Wolf,Jacobus Bernardus Giesbers,Paulus Wilhelmus Maria Blom,K.-O. Grosse-Holz,K.-O. Grosse-Holz,E. Pastoor,E. Pastoor +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the combination of a variety of oxidic thin films in two materials systems is described and the control of stoichiometry for the ferroelectric used in this device (consisting of highly volatile components) as well as the improvement of thickness uniformity using off-axis PLD are discussed.
