Journal ArticleDOI

A composite index for drought hazard assessment using CPC rainfall time series data

TL;DR: In this article, daily rainfall data of the Climate Prediction Centre during the south-west monsoon season (June-September) of 12 years, over India was analyzed, based on rainfall and rainy days, six indicators of drought were generated which were then synthesized into a composite index of drought hazard for every 10 × 10 km pixel.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temporal dynamics change of land use/land cover in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh over past 20 years using LANDSAT TM, ETM+ and OLI sensors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used satellite images from Landsat-5 Thematic Mapper (TM) for 2001, Landsat 7 Enhanced ThematicMapper (ETM+) for 2010 and Landsat 8 (OLI) for 2020 to extract Land use/Land cover classes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Climate change scenario of hydro-chemical analysis and mapping spatio-temporal changes in water chemistry of water springs in Kumaun Himalaya

TL;DR: In this paper, a total of 65 springs were inspected and investigated for their significant particle scenario to evaluate their water quality, potential origins, and hydro-chemical evolution, and groundwater samples were collected from springs under consideration and examined for an aggregate of 14 water quality physicochemical parameters during pre- and post-monsoon season.
Book ChapterDOI

Future Challenges and Perspective of Remote Sensing Technology

TL;DR: An overview of the potential challenges and the perspective of the fast-growing geospatial technology is presented, which has wide potential in analysing land, vegetation and water resources.
