Journal ArticleDOI

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor to prevent dose-limiting neutropenia in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma: a randomized controlled trial

TL;DR: Overall, patients randomized to receive G-CSF achieved a greater dose intensity than control patients, but this did not result in significant differences in drug toxicity (other than neutropenia), intravenous antibiotic usage, or hospitalization between the two groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incidence of cerebral metastases in patients treated with trastuzumab for metastatic breast cancer

TL;DR: A high proportion of patients with MBC treated with trastuzumab develop symptomatic cerebral metastases, which indicates that HER-2-positive breast cancer may have a predilection for the brain, or trastzumab therapy may change the disease pattern by prolonging survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ovarian cancer antigen CA125: a prospective clinical assessment of its role as a tumour marker.

TL;DR: Serum CA 125, quantified by an immunoradiometric assay employing the monoclonal antibody 0C125 was found to be elevated in 48/58 (83%) of patients with established ovarian cancer, and the value of CA125 in the management of ovarian malignancy is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glutathione reduces the toxicity and improves quality of life of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer treated with cisplatin: Results of a double-blind, randomised trial

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that adding GSH to CDDP allows more cycles of CDDP treatment to be administered because less toxicity is observed and the patient's quality of life is improved.
