TL;DR: This is the first nationwide, cross-specialty surveillance study of acute neurological and psychiatric complications of COVID-19 and provides valuable and timely data that are urgently needed by clinicians, researchers, and funders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transient global amnesia and brain tumour: chance concurrence or aetiological association? Case report and systematic literature review.
TL;DR: A patient presenting with episodes of transient amnesia, some with features suggestive of transient global amnesia (TGA), and some more reminiscent of transient epileptic amnesia are reported, suggesting the concurrence of brain tumour and TGA is very rare and of doubtful aetiological relevance.
Journal ArticleDOI
How to do it: How to get the most out of cerebrospinal fluid cytology
Philip Milburn-McNulty,Benedict D Michael,Benedict D Michael,Neil Moxham,Nicholas A. Fletcher,Daniel Crooks +5 more
TL;DR: The factors that maximise CSF cytology sensitivity are presented and a strategy to improve practice is provided, to help doctors better understand and diagnose leptomeningeal carcinomatosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sulthiame add-on therapy for epilepsy
TL;DR: Sulthiame may lead to a cessation of seizures when used as an add-on therapy to pyridoxine in patients with West syndrome and large, multi-centre randomized controlled trials are necessary to inform clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome associated with a nasopharyngeal tumor in an adult: a case report
Bilal G. Taib,Andrew J Kinshuck,Philip Milburn-McNulty,Lauren Fratalia,Leigh Forsyth,David Husband,Terry Jones,Anu Jacob +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that a nasopharyngeal carcinoma can be associated with adult onset opsoclonus-myOClonus syndrome, and both neurologists and otorhinolaryngologists must be aware of such a presentation.
