Journal ArticleDOI

Cytochrome P450 2C19 loss-of-function polymorphism is a major determinant of clopidogrel responsiveness in healthy subjects

TL;DR: The CYP2C19*2 loss-of-function allele is associated with a marked decrease in platelet responsiveness to clopidogrel in young healthy male volunteers and may therefore be an important genetic contributor to clopsinogrel resistance in the clinical setting.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical Effects of β-Adrenergic Blockade in Chronic Heart Failure A Meta-Analysis of Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Randomized Trials

TL;DR: It is indicated that there is persuasive evidence supporting a favorable effect of beta-blockade on ejection fraction and the combined risk of death and hospitalization for heart failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Expert consensus document on beta-adrenergic receptor blockers.

TL;DR: It is of great importance that guidelines and recommendations are presented in formats that are easily interpreted and their implementation programmes must also be well conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heart rate and cardiac rhythm relationships with bisoprolol benefit in chronic heart failure in CIBIS II Trial.

TL;DR: B HR and HRC are significantly related to prognosis in heart failure and bisoprolol-induced benefit over placebo for survival was observed to a similar extent at any level of both BHR and HRC.
