Wolf-Rayet stars at 1 - 2 Mpc
Paul A. Crowther,J. B. Abbott,Laurent Drissen,Hansrüdi Schild,Werner Schmutz,Pierre Royer,Stephen Smartt +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, narrow-band imaging and optical spectroscopy of Wolf-Rayet stars in the Local Group dwarf galaxy IC 10 (Gemini-N- gmos) and Sculptor group spiral galaxy NGC 300 (VLT fors2) was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
A test field for Gaia. Radial velocity catalogue of stars in the South Ecliptic Pole
Yves Fremat,Martin Altmann,Elena Pancino,Caroline Soubiran,Paula Jofre,Yassine Damerdji,Ulrike Heiter,F. Royer,George M. Seabroke,R. Sordo,Sergi Blanco-Cuaresma,Gérard Jasniewicz,Christophe Martayan,F. Thévenin,Antonella Vallenari,R. Blomme,M. David,Eric Gosset,D. Katz,Y. Viala,Steve Boudreault,Tristan Cantat-Gaudin,Alex Lobel,Klaus Meisenheimer,Thomas Nordlander,Gert Raskin,Pierre Royer,Juan Zorec +27 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the radial velocity measurements performed for the Southern targets in the 12 - 17 R magnitude range on high-to mid-resolution spectra obtained with the GIRAFFE and UVES spectrographs are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
The atypical emission-line star Hen 3-209
TL;DR: In this article, the luminosity of the star Hen 3-209 undergoes marked variations with a peak-to-peak amplitude of 0.093±0.005 d.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Data mining spacecraft telemetry: towards generic solutions to automatic health monitoring and status characterisation
Pierre Royer,J. De Ridder,Bart Vandenbussche,S. Regibo,Rik Huygen,W. De Meester,David J. Evans,Jose Martinez,Moritz Korte-Stapff +8 more
TL;DR: A set of effective methods to detect outliers in the telemetry or in its statistical properties, uncover and visualise special properties of thetelemetry and detect new behavior are presented, more sensitive and more responsive to outliers than the traditional checks against hard limits.
Journal ArticleDOI
Classification of Wolf-Rayet stars in NGC 595 in M 33 through high-spatial resolution observations
TL;DR: In this article, the spectral subtypes of the Wolf-Rayet stars of NGC 595 were determined using a photometric technique based on five dedicated narrow-band filters, which for the first time combines high-angular resolution and high-spectroscopic discrimination capabilities.
