TL;DR: In this paper, a method was established to evaluate calculation methods of mean skin temperature, in order to find appropriate ones for use in human thermal comfort study, and three indexes, including reliability, sensitivity and number of measurement sites, were proposed.

Exposure to outdoor air pollution during trimesters of pregnancy and childhood asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema
TL;DR: Maternal exposure to traffic-related air pollutant NO2 during pregnancy, especially in specific trimesters, is associated with an increased risk of developing asthma, rhinitis, and eczema in children, and this results support the hypothesis that childhood allergic diseases originate in fetal life and are triggered by traffic- related air pollution in sensitive trimeters.

TL;DR: A state-of-the-art review of the scientific literature was undertaken by a multidisciplinary panel of experts from Europe, North America, and Asia with expertise in air cleaning, aerosol science, medicine, chemistry and ventilation, finding no technology was able to effectively remove all indoor pollutants.

TL;DR: There is no obvious association between disease prevalences and ambient PM10 concentrations and higher prevalences of disease in humid climates with hot summers and cold winters, but with no centrally heated buildings and associations between the diseases and economic status as indexed by Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Particle deposition in the human lung: Health implications of particulate matter from different sources.
TL;DR: Modeling of particle deposition in the human lung indicated that coarse particles generated by crustal sources may have adverse health effects as strong as those resulting from fine particles generated from combustion sources.
