Studies on the growth aspects of semi-organic l-alanine acetate: a promising NLO crystal

TL;DR: In this article, a new nonlinear optical material, l -alanine acetate (l -AlAc), has been synthesized by the slow cooling method, which exhibits better thermal and mechanical stability with improved optical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on visible light photocatalytic and antibacterial activities of nanostructured cobalt doped ZnO thin films prepared by sol-gel spin coating method.

TL;DR: The Co doped ZnO films were found to exhibit improved photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue dye under visible light in comparison with the undoped ZNO film and the bactericidal efficiency was investigated against a Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of the structural and third-order nonlinear optical properties of solution grown 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-4′-N′-methylstilbazolium tosylate monohydrate crystals

TL;DR: An organic nonlinear optical crystal, 4-hydroxy-3methoxy-4′-N′-methylstilbazolium tosylate monohydrate (VMST) was grown from methanol:water mixed solvent by slow cooling method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Green synthesis of Silver oxide nanoparticles using Zephyranthes Rosea flower extract and evaluation of biological activities

TL;DR: In this paper, the in-vitro synthesis of Zephyranthes Rosea flower extract substituted silver oxide nanoparticles by a greener approach for the first time was provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of pH on the growth and characteristics of nonlinear optical zinc thiourea chloride (ZTC) single crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of pH on the structural, optical, electrical and mechanical properties of the grown crystals is brought out, and the single crystal XRD analysis confirms the change in lattice parameters for the crystals grown at these different solution pH values.
