TL;DR: It is suggested that increased DNA damage and tumor susceptibility in prdx1−/− animals results from this shift in intracellular ROS, which should be useful in studying the role of oxidative DNA damage in the causation of cancer and its prevention by antioxidants.

Successful hematopoietic cell transplantation in a patient with X-linked agammaglobulinemia and acute myeloid leukemia.

TL;DR: The first reported case of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in a patient with XLA is presented and the complete correction of the XLA phenotype is demonstrated following allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation for treatment of the patient's leukemia.
