Journal ArticleDOI
Human adenine nucleotide translocases physically and functionally interact with respirasomes.
Ya-Wen Lu,Michelle Grace Acoba,Kandasamy Selvaraju,Tai-Chung Huang,Raja Sekhar Nirujogi,Gajanan Sathe,Akhilesh Pandey,Steven M. Claypool +7 more
TL;DR: A network of interactions for human adenine nucleotide translocases, required for oxidative phosphorylation, is reported, and of particular interest is an evolutionarily conserved and functionally important association with respiratory supercomplexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of a multiplexed targeted mass spectrometry assay for LRRK2-phosphorylated Rabs and Ser910/Ser935 biomarker sites.
Raja Sekhar Nirujogi,Francesca Tonelli,Matthew Taylor,Pawel Lis,Alexander Zimprich,Esther Sammler,Dario R. Alessi +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a multiplexed targeted mass spectrometry (MS) was used to quantify endogenous levels of LRRK2-phosphorylated Rab substrates (Rab1, Rab3, Rab8, Rab10, Rab35 and Rab43).
Peer ReviewDOI
Author response: PPM1H phosphatase counteracts LRRK2 signaling by selectively dephosphorylating Rab proteins
Kerryn Berndsen,Pawel Lis,Wondwossen M Yeshaw,Paulina S. Wawro,Raja Sekhar Nirujogi,Melanie Wightman,Thomas Macartney,Mark Dorward,Axel Knebel,Francesca Tonelli,Suzanne R. Pfeffer,Dario R. Alessi +11 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Deciphering the LRRK code: LRRK1 and LRRK2 phosphorylate distinct Rab proteins and are regulated by diverse mechanisms.
Asad U. Malik,Athanasios Karapetsas,Raja Sekhar Nirujogi,Sebastian Mathea,Deep Chatterjee,Prosenjit Pal,Pawel Lis,Matthew Taylor,Elena Purlyte,Robert Gourlay,Mark Dorward,Simone Weidlich,Rachel Toth,Nicole K. Polinski,Stefan Knapp,Francesca Tonelli,Dario R. Alessi +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effector binding motif of LRRK2 was found to be a critical site for Rab7A phosphorylation and Rab8A and Rab10.
Posted ContentDOI
Development of a multiplexed targeted mass spectrometry assay for LRRK2 phosphorylated Rabs and Ser910/Ser935 biomarker sites
Raja Sekhar Nirujogi,Francesca Tonelli,Matthew Taylor,Pawel Lis,Alexander Zimprich,Esther Sammler,Dario R. Alessi +6 more
TL;DR: A new, multiplexed targeted mass spectrometry assay is described and validated to quantify endogenous levels of LRRK2-phosphorylated Rab substrates and demonstrates that in Parkinson’s patients with VPS35[D620N] mutations, phosphorylation of multiple Rab proteins is elevated.
