Evaluation of thermal conductivity of MgO-MWCNTs/EG hybrid nanofluids based on experimental data by selecting optimal artificial neural networks

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal conductivity ratio of MgO-MWCNTs/EG hybrid nanofluids has been predicted by an optimal artificial neural network at solid volume fractions of 0.05, 0.1%, 0.15, 0 2, 0.2, 0 4, and 0.6% in the temperature range of 25-50°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review of melting and freezing processes of PCM/nano-PCM and their application in energy storage

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed illustration of phase change materials and their working principle, different types, and properties are provided, and a characteristic example of PCM in solar energy storage and the design of PCMs are reviewed and analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Introducing a novel heat sink comprising PCM and air - Adapted to electronic device thermal management

TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid heat sink with PCM and air potentials was introduced to neutralize the effects of the incoming heat flux to keep low the electronic device temperature, which can compete with air-cooled heat sinks with much higher convective heat transfer coefficient.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on optimum fins number in PCM-based heat sinks

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a correlation to estimate the optimum number of fins and optimum PCM volume fraction in a phase change material (PCM) based heat sink, where the objective function is defined as the longest safe operating time of the device prior to reach the critical temperature.
