Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical characterisation of lectin from Indian hyacinth plant bulbs with potential inhibitory action against human cancer cells
Sanjay Naik,Ravindra Singh Rawat,Santripti Khandai,Mukesh Kumar,Sidhartha S. Jena,Mookambeswaran A. Vijayalakshmi,Sanjit Kumar +6 more
TL;DR: Morphological studies of treated cells with hyacinth lectin by AO/EB dual staining indicated that purified lectin is capable of inducing apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification and structural studies of natural inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA methyltransferase (NSP16).
Mukesh Kumar,Anik Roy,Ravindra Singh Rawat,Amit Alok,Kishore K.R. Tetala,Nihar Ranjan Biswas,Punit Kaur,Sanjit Kumar +7 more
TL;DR: Sarma et al. as discussed by the authors exploited 56000 natural compounds to screen potential inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus enzymes, Nsp14 and Nsp16, critically help in the formation of capping and are considered as potential drug targets for antiviral therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Understanding the mode of inhibition and molecular interaction of taxifolin with human adenosine deaminase.
TL;DR: Sarma et al. as mentioned in this paper showed that taxifolin is a potent inhibitor of the human ADA (hADA) enzyme and showed fifty percent inhibition at a concentration of 400 µM against the enzyme.
