Journal ArticleDOI
Microglial P2X4R-evoked pain hypersensitivity is sexually dimorphic in rats.
Josiane C.S. Mapplebeck,Rebecca Dalgarno,YuShan Tu,Orla Moriarty,Simon Beggs,Charlie H.T. Kwok,Katherine Halievski,Sofia Assi,Jeffrey S. Mogil,Tuan Trang,Michael W. Salter +10 more
TL;DR: The findings demonstrate the existence of sexually dimorphic pain signalling in rats, suggesting that this sex difference is evolutionarily conserved, at least across rodent species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrathecal delivery of a palmitoylated peptide targeting Y382-384 within the P2X7 receptor alleviates neuropathic pain.
TL;DR: A means to preferentially block the potentiation of P2x7R function by delivering a membrane permeant small interfering peptide that targets Y382-384, a putative tyrosine phosphorylation site within the P2X7R intracellular C-terminal domain is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spinal A3 adenosine receptor activation acutely restores morphine antinociception in opioid tolerant male rats.
Heather Leduc-Pessah,Cynthia Xu,Churmy Y. Fan,Rebecca Dalgarno,Yuta Kohro,Sydney Sparanese,Nikita N. Burke,Kenneth A. Jacobson,Christophe Altier,Daniela Salvemini,Tuan Trang +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the A3 adenosine receptor (A3 AR) activation was found to acutely and transiently potentiate morphine antinociception in tolerant rats.
