Journal ArticleDOI

Cell-to-cell communication: microRNAs as hormones.

TL;DR: The roles of miRNAs in intercellular communication, the biological function of extracellular mi RNAs, and their potential applications for diagnosis and therapeutics are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

miR-155 in cancer drug resistance and as target for miRNA-based therapeutics

TL;DR: This review summarizes the current findings of miR-155 in hematopoietic lineage differentiation, the immune response, inflammation, and cancer therapy resistance, and discusses the potential of mi R-155-based therapeutic approaches for the treatment of cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of Nigella sativa (Ns), Anthemis hyalina (Ah) and Citrus sinensis (Cs) extracts on the replication of coronavirus and the expression of TRP genes family

TL;DR: Although all the extract treatments had an effect on IL-8 secretion, TRP gene expression and virus load after CoV infection, it was the Ah extract treatment that showed the biggest difference in virus load.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ubiquitous Release of Exosomal Tumor Suppressor miR-6126 from Ovarian Cancer Cells

TL;DR: It is reported that miR-6126 is ubiquitously released in high abundance from both chemosensitive and chemoresistant ovarian cancer cells via exosomes, providing new insights into the role of exosomal miRNA-mediated tumor progression and suggesting a new therapeutic approach to disrupt oncogenic phenotypes in tumors.
