Toward understanding the adsorption mechanism of large size organic corrosion inhibitors on an Fe(110) surface using the DFTB method
TL;DR: In this paper, a density functional based tight binding (DFTB) approach was used to investigate the adsorption properties of three large size inhibitors (i.e., chalcone derivatives) on an iron surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical Exfoliation of Graphite into Nitrogen-doped Graphene in Glycine Solution and its Energy Storage Properties
Yingchang Yang,Wei Shi,Renhui Zhang,Chunhong Luan,Qing Zeng,Chao Wang,Simin Li,Zhaodong Huang,Hanxiao Liao,Xiaobo Ji +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, anodic exfoliation of graphite has been developed for nitrogen-doped few-layer graphene sheets (N-FLGS), demonstrating high N-doping levels of 6.05 atom%.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen-doped TiO2(B) nanorods as high-performance anode materials for rechargeable sodium-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this paper, a nitrogen-doped TiO2(B) nanorod structure was developed utilizing hydrothermal treatment, ion exchange and a subsequent low temperature calcination process.
Journal ArticleDOI
A near-wearless and extremely long lifetime amorphous carbon film under high vacuum
TL;DR: This work systematically examined microstructure and composition of transfer film for understanding of the underlying frictional mechanism, which suggested that the extraordinarily excellent tribological properties were attributed to the thermodynamically and structurally stable FeF2 nanocrystallites corroborated using first-principles calculations, which were induced by the tribochemical reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insights into the newly synthesized N-doped carbon dots for Q235 steel corrosion retardation in acidizing media: A detailed multidimensional study.
Christina Pirner,Mengyue Zhu,Lei Guo,Lei Guo,Brian L. Gorman,Zhongyi He,Riadh Marzouki,Renhui Zhang,Elyor Berdimurodov +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, N-doped carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) were synthesized by a hydrothermal method using folic acid and o-phenylenediamine as precursors.
