The Void Galaxy Survey: Galaxy Evolution and Gas Accretion in Voids
Kathryn Kreckel,Jacqueline van Gorkom,B. Beygu,Rien van de Weygaert,J. M. van der Hulst,Miguel A. Aragon-Calvo,Reynier Peletier +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new void galaxy survey (VGS) is presented, where a sample of 59 galaxies that reside in the deepest underdensities of geometrically identified voids within the SDSS at distances of ~100 Mpc are selected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon stars in the X-shooter Spectral Library
Anais Gonneau,Ariane Lançon,Scott Trager,B. Aringer,B. Aringer,Mariya Lyubenova,Walter Nowotny,Reynier Peletier,Ph. Prugniel,Yanping Chen,M. Dries,O. S. Choudhury,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,M. Koleva,S. Meneses-Goytia,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,A. Vazdekis,A. Vazdekis +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provided a new collection of spectra of 35 carbon stars obtained with the ESO/VLT X-shooter instrument as part of the Xshooter Spectral Library project.
The X-Shooter spectral library
TL;DR: The X-Shooter Spectral Library (XSL) as mentioned in this paper is a spectral library for the near-UV and near-IR spectra collected by the ESO's VLT with a resolution of R˜10000.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disc galaxy resolved in HI absorption against the radio lobe of 3C 433: Case study for future surveys
Suma Murthy,Suma Murthy,Raffaella Morganti,Raffaella Morganti,Bjorn Emonts,M. Villar-Martín,Tom Oosterloo,Tom Oosterloo,Reynier Peletier +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported a very rare study of resolved HI absorption against the radio galaxy 3C 433 at z ǫ = 0.101, detected with the Very Large Array.
Journal ArticleDOI
Abundance Ratios in Dwarf Elliptical Galaxies
TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed a stellar population analysis of 39 dEs and studied them using index-index and scaling relations, and found an unusual behavior where [Na/Fe] is under-abundant w.r.t. solar while [Ca/F] is over-abordant.
