Journal ArticleDOI

Rivaroxaban versus Warfarin in Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation

TL;DR: In patients with atrial fibrillation, rivaroxaban was noninferior to warfarin for the prevention of stroke or systemic embolism and there was no significant between-group difference in the risk of major bleeding, although intracranial and fatal bleeding occurred less frequently in the rivroxaban group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ticagrelor versus Clopidogrel in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes

TL;DR: In patients who have an acute coronary syndrome with or without ST-segment elevation, treatment with ticagrelor as compared with clopidogrel significantly reduced the rate of death from vascular causes, myocardial infarction, or stroke without an increase in the rates of overall major bleeding but with an increase of non-procedure-related bleeding.
Journal ArticleDOI

Perioperative Bridging Anticoagulation in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation

TL;DR: In patients with atrial fibrillation who had warfarin treatment interrupted for an elective operation or other elective invasive procedure, forgoing bridging anticoagulation was noninferior to perioperative bridging with low-molecular-weight heparin for the prevention of arterial thromboembolism and decreased the risk of major bleeding.
