Measurements of standing waves and the absorption coefficients of Various materials with surface electromagnetic waves on Al.

TL;DR: The first measurements of the absorption coefficient of materials via surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) techniques are reported by simply laying samples on a metal sheet on which SEW were passing, and the transmittances and absorption coefficients of the sample have been determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectral response of n-type InSb in the submillimeter range

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral response of an n-type InSb bolometer and a Golay detector were compared between about 10 and 100 cm−1, and the optical systems were held nearly constant and major wave number dependent deviations were removed from the data.
