Analysis of adenine and thymine adsorbed on graphite by scanning tunneling and atomic force microscopy
TL;DR: In this article, the atomic structure of adenine and thymine adsorbed onto a hot graphite surface was analyzed by AFM and the lattice dimensions, structural periodicities, and the epitaxy of the adsorbated molecules with respect to the basal plane of graphite were determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of the binding site of two monoclonal antibodies to human protamine
TL;DR: This assignment is based on antibody binding to protamine from different species in which the protamine sequence is known, as well as analysis of antibodybinding to synthetic peptides and synthetic peptide with specific amino acid substitutions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physical biochemistry–application to biochemistry and molecular biology, by David Freifelder. W. H. Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 2nd Edition, 1982, 624 pages, paperback
Journal ArticleDOI
Rat spermatid basic nuclear protein TP3 is the precursor of protamine 2
TL;DR: It is concluded that appreciable levels of P2 precursors are present in rat late spermatids, but the processing appears to be impaired and most of the protein is lost from the chromatin by the spermatozoa stage.
