Journal ArticleDOI

Fullerene C60 as an endohedral molecule within an inorganic supramolecule.

TL;DR: C60[Cu26Cl26L2{Cp*Fe(η5-P5)}13(CH3CN)9] (L = H2O) represents a first example of a complete encapsulation of C60 itself by an inorganic fullerene-like system via molecular recognition of the five- and sixfold-symmetric structural motif of C 60.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fullerene‐Like Nanoballs Formed by Pentaphosphaferrocene and CuBr

TL;DR: In this article, the inner cavity of the nanocluster 5b was analyzed by X-ray crystallographic results, showing that the formation of polymeric product was hindered, and exclusive formation of the spherical cage compound was achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structures and Properties of Spherical 90‐Vertex Fullerene‐Like Nanoballs

TL;DR: Nine spherical giant molecules having the simplified general formula [Cp(R)Fe(eta(5)-P(5))] and CuX (X=Cl, Br) and dilution conditions in mixtures of CH(3)CN and solvents and some charged derivatives have been isolated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coordination Polymers Based on [Cp*Fe(η5‐P5)]: Solid‐State Structure and MAS NMR Studies

TL;DR: The solid-state structures demonstrate the versatile coordination modes of the cyclo-P(5) ligand of 1, extending from two to five coordinating phosphorus atoms in either σ or σ-and-π fashion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation of Spherical Giant Molecules and Dynamic Behaviour of Supramolecular Assemblies Based on P n -Ligand Complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, the En-ligand complexes (E = P, As) are used as linking units for the creation of novel supramolecular ensembles, and the reaction of these complexes with Group 11 metal salts of coordinating anions leads to the formation of insoluble oligomers, 1D and 2D polymers as well as soluble spherical nanoscaled clusters.
