Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and biological evaluation of 2β,3α-(substituted phenyl)nortropanes as potential norepinephrine transporter imaging agents

TL;DR: Despite high in vitro affinity for the human NET, the high uptake of [(11)C]1 in the caudate and putamen excludes its use as an in vivo PET imaging agent for the NET.
Journal ArticleDOI

An improved synthesis of [11C]MENET via Suzuki coupling with [11C]methyl iodide

TL;DR: MenET, a promising norepinephrine transporter imaging agent, was prepared by Suzuki cross coupling of 1'mg N-t-Boc pinacolborate precursor with [11C]CH3I in DMF using palladium complex generated in situ from Pd2(dba)3 and (o-CH3C6H4)3P together with K2CO3 as the co-catalyst, followed by deprotection with trifluoroacetic acid as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Swine Hind Limb Ischemia Model Useful for Testing Peripheral Artery Disease Therapeutics.

TL;DR: In this paper, a large animal model suitable for efficacy assessment of these therapies was created by testing 3 swine hind limb ischemia (HLI) variations and quantifying vascular perfusion, muscle histology, and limb function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodistribution and human dosimetry of enantiomer-1 of the synthetic leucine analog anti-1-amino-2-fluorocyclopentyl-1-carboxylic acid.

TL;DR: Anti-2-[(18)F]FACPC-1 showed low background uptake in the brain, thoracic and abdominal cavities of humans, suggesting a possible use for detecting malignant tissues in these regions.
Journal Article

Radiosynthesis of Re(CO)3(18F-FEDA), a structural analog of 99mTc(CO)3(FEDA) and new PET tracer for renal imaging and renal function assessment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed an efficient one-step method for the preparation of structural analog, rhenium-tricarbonyl-N-[18F]-fluoroethyl-iminodiacetic acid, Re(CO)3(18F-FEDA).
