A Varactor Based 90 $^{\circ}$ Directional Coupler With Tunable Coupling Ratios and Reconfigurable Responses

TL;DR: In this article, a symmetric four-port microwave varactor based 90° directional coupler with tunable coupling ratios and reconfigurable responses is presented based on the modified structure of a crossover, where varactors are loaded.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave (8–50 GHz) Characterization of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Papers Using Rectangular Waveguides

TL;DR: In this paper, a rigorous extraction algorithm was developed to compute the effective complex permittivity (epsiv = epsiv'- jepsiv") and permeability (m = mu' - jmu") of thin carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) from the measured -parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metallic Wire Array as Low-Effective Index of Refraction Medium for Directive Antenna Application

TL;DR: In this paper, a directive monopole antenna is embedded in the wire array medium with an index of refraction less than unity (n eff < 1) at the antenna operating frequencies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid-based dielectric resonator antenna and its application for measuring liquid real permittivities

TL;DR: In this article, a water-based rectangular dielectric resonator antenna is designed and analyzed for measuring liquid permittivities, and an analytical model of liquid real relative permittivity as a function of the antenna resonance frequency is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Designs of ultra wideband (UWB) printed elliptical monopole antennas with slots

TL;DR: In this article, two slots are incorporated along the edges of the elliptically shaped monopole to enhance the design flexibility of the UWB antennas, and a prototype antenna was designed on the Rogers' RT/Duroid 5880 substrate, fabricated and characterized experimentally.
