Transforming second-generation ethanol production waste into sustainable enzymatic cosmetic inputs

TL;DR: In this paper , an analysis of melanin degradation was performed in a quantitative and qualitative way, where agro-industrial residues were used as a successful, cheap and renewable substrate, capable of increasing activity of ligninolytic enzymes for further use in melanin degrading assays to develop inputs for the treatment of skin hyperpigmentation.

Estudo de pré-tratamentos na desidratação de tomate-cereja (Lycopersicon esculentum var. cerasiforme) Study of the pre-treatments for the dehydration of cherry tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum var. cerasiforme)

TL;DR: In this paper, a trabalho teve como objetivo estudar o efeito of pre-tratamentos de sacarose 20%, NaCl 5, NaCl 2 1% and polvilho doce 2,5% no tempo de secagem de tomate-cereja, bem como na capacidade de reidratacao e nas caracteristicas sensoriais do produto final.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antihyperlipidemic effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of Basidiomycete Pycnoporus sanguineus (Fr.) Murr. in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats

TL;DR: The findings demonstrated significant anti-hyperlipidaemic activity of P. sanguineus extract in diabetic rats, which provides a new possibility for development of drugs to control hyperlipidaemia and provides impetus for further studies.
