In the academic world, the authors and the publication of academic writing are inseparable. By publishing academic writing, academicians can improve their performance and increase their visibility in academia. However, academic writing is not an easy thing, as it is directly tied to the ethics of academic authorship. However, there have been several forms of unethical identified in academic authorship. Among them is the unethical placement of the author's name. This dishonesty certainly has a negative impact on the world of scholarship because those who are in this world of scholarship are said to have the nature of high integrity. Among the main causes of this problem is the need to achieve annual target. Is academic authorship tied to the ethics of academic authorship? What are the forms of dishonesty in academic authorship? There are two main objectives in solving the question. First, explain the ethics of academic authorship. Second, explain the forms of dishonesty specifically related to naming groups of authors in academic writing. The documentation method is carried out to obtain data related to ethics and forms of dishonesty in academic writing to achieve these objectives. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis to explain the inaccuracies in author nomination in academic writing. This study found that academic authorship is bound by its ethics as authoritative and recognized writing. One of the most common frauds is to put the name of an author or a group of authors who contributed to academic authorship. However, there are two main forms of academic dishonesty: putting the name of the individual as the author despite not contributing to the authorship and not putting the name of the contributing author in the authorship. This practice violates the ethics of academic authorship.

Ethical Issues in Academic Authorship: A Study on Group Writing

Water is important natural resources on earth which cater for all human endeavors. Estimation of groundwater recharge is an essential for efficient groundwater resources management. This research entails the assessment of natural groundwater recharge in Tudun Wada Kano, Nigeria. This study carried out on 2015 attempted to derive an empirical relationship to determine the groundwater recharge from rainfall in Tudun Wada based on seasonal groundwater balance using data from 2002 to 2013. This empirical relationship similar to Chaturvedi formula was derived by fitting the estimated values of rainfall recharge and the corresponding values of rainfall in the monsoon season through the non-linear regression techniques. The variance was found to be 29.50 %, and the recharge of groundwater commences at P = 15.28 inches and the relative errors was found to range from 0.95 to 28.43%.

In this study, the performance and structural properties of enhanced skinned asymmetric nanofiltration (NF) membranes were experimentally and theoretically analyzed. Based on Donnan and steric-hindrance transport mechanism, the relationship of performances and key properties of the fabricated nanofiltration membranes were examined. At the optimum concentration of polymer, the skinned nanofiltration membranes achieved high salt rejection up to 85% and high solutes separation efficacy. Moreover, morphological and modeling analysis discovered that, the optimum membranes produced good pore size and fine key properties with 1.20 nm of pore radius, 4.96 µm of ratio of thickness to porosity (∆x/Ak) and −1.56 of surface charge, ζ as well as uniform pore size distributions. The findings from this study proved that the strategic utilization and manipulation of good membranes material is a simple and good attempt to upgrade the membranes capability and usability which lead towards the application in various membrane separation processes.
