726.7-Gb/s 1.5-μm Single-Mode VCSEL Discrete Multi-Tone Transmission over 2.5-km Multicore Fiber

TL;DR: A 107Gb/s net-rate DMT optical signal was generated using a single-mode long-wavelength VCSEL with a modulation bandwidth of 23 GHz and experimentally demonstrated a total net- rate up to 726.7Gb/S at 1.5μm over 2.5km 7-core dispersion-uncompensated MCF.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Flip-chip bonding of VCSELs to silicon grating couplers via SU8 prisms fabricated using laser ablation

TL;DR: In this article, the first time, VCSEL-to-silicon grating coupler flip-chip assembly using SU8 prism fabricated by non-uniform laser ablation was achieved.

Experimental Demonstration of 503.61-Gbit/s DMT over 10-km 7-Core Fiber with 1.5-\mu m SM-VCSEL for Optical Interconnects.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate a net-rate 503.61-Gbit/s DMT transmission over 10-km 7-core fiber with 1.5-mu m single mode VCSEL, where low-complexity kernel-recursive-least-squares algorithm is employed for nonlinear channel equalization.
Journal ArticleDOI

PAM-4 VCSEL driver with selective falling-edge pre-emphasis

TL;DR: In this article, a 0.13 μ m SiGe BiCMOS PAM-4 driver that boosts the falling-edge to the bottom level through a selective pre-emphasis technique is presented.
