TL;DR: In this paper, a new therapeutic product obtained after immunization of horses with the receptor-binding domain of the viral Spike glycoprotein was presented, which showed around 50 times more potency in in vitro seroneutralization assays than the average of convalescent plasma.

Journal ArticleDOI
Structural basis for the Pr-Pfr long-range signaling mechanism of a full-length bacterial phytochrome at the atomic level.
Lisandro H. Otero,Sabrina Foscaldi,Giuliano Tomás Antelo,Germán L. Rosano,Serena Sirigu,Sebastián Klinke,Lucas A. Defelipe,Maximiliano Sánchez-Lamas,Giovanni Battocchio,Valeria Paola Conforte,Adrián Alberto Vojnov,Leonard M. G. Chavas,Fernando Alberto Goldbaum,Maria Andrea Mroginski,Jimena Rinaldi,Hernán Ruy Bonomi +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the lack of full-leaving photoreceptors was identified as a limitation of the photoreceptor family that typically interconverts between two photostates called Pr (red light absorbing) and Pfr (far red light absorbing).
Journal ArticleDOI
Pr-favoured variants of the bacteriophytochrome from the plant pathogen Xanthomonas campestris hint on light regulation of virulence-associated mechanisms.
Valeria Paola Conforte,Lisandro H. Otero,Laila Toum,Serena Sirigu,Giuliano Tomás Antelo,Jimena Rinaldi,Sabrina Foscaldi,Sebastián Klinke,Leonard M. G. Chavas,Adrián Alberto Vojnov,Fernando Alberto Goldbaum,Florencia Malamud,Hernán Ruy Bonomi +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, three different full-length variants with single amino acid changes within its GAF domain were generated to affect the Xanthomonas campestris photoreceptor (BphP) photocycle.
