Effect of recycled cellulose fibres on the properties of lightweight cement composite matrix

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of using cellulose fibres as cement replacement on the properties of lightweight cement composite has been investigated and shown that although there was a general reduction in the compressive strength of concrete with the increase of fibre content, the thermal insulation properties of concrete were improved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental and modelling study of tomato pomace waste drying in a new solar greenhouse: evaluation of new drying models.

TL;DR: In this paper, an innovative greenhouse solar dryer has been designed at the Solar Equipment Development Unit in Bou Ismail and an experimental study of solar drying kinetics of industrial tomato pomace was conducted to test the performance of the new solar dryers as a waste processing dryer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Using Central Composite Experimental Design to Optimize the Degradation of Tylosin from Aqueous Solution by Photo-Fenton Reaction

TL;DR: The feasibility of the application of the Photo-Fenton process in the treatment of aqueous solution contaminated by Tylosin antibiotic was evaluated and a good agreement between the model prediction and experimental results confirms the soundness of the developed model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling and comparative analysis of solar drying behavior of potatoes

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the drying process of potatoes using an indirect and a mixed solar dryer with forced convection and a comparison of their respective performances is presented. But, the mixed dryer had the slowest drying rate compared to the indirect dryer, with drying times of 4'h 45min and 3'h 40min respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption of phenol from wastewater using vegetal cords as a new adsorbent

TL;DR: In this paper, a vegetable sponge of cylindrical loofa, a natural product which grows in the north of Algeria, was used for phenol removal from wastewater, and the adsorption isotherm of phenol onto the prepared cords of loofta was determined by batch tests.
