Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism of farnesylated CAAX protein processing by the intramembrane protease Rce1

TL;DR: It is proposed that the farnesyl lipid binds to a site at the opening of two transmembrane α-helices, which results in the scissile bond being positioned adjacent to a glutamate-activated nucleophilic water molecule.

Crystal structures of the human adiponectin receptors

TL;DR: The present information will facilitate the understanding of novel structure–function relationships and the development and optimization of AdipoR agonists for the treatment of obesity-related diseases, such as type 2 diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of anti-podoplanin monoclonal antibodies: critical epitopes for neutralizing the interaction between podoplanin and CLEC-2.

TL;DR: Using flow cytometric analysis, NZ-1 partially inhibited the interaction between podoplanin and CLEC-2, although other antibodies did not, which may lead to the development of therapeutic antibodies against Podoplanin-dependent cancer metastasis.
