Journal ArticleDOI

Missing gas-phase source of HONO inferred from Zeppelin measurements in the troposphere.

TL;DR: In a sunlit layer separated from Earth’s surface processes by temperature inversion, high HONO concentrations are found providing evidence for a strong gas-phase source of HONSO consuming nitrogen oxides and potentially hydrogen oxide radicals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of OH concentration measurements by DOAS and LIF during SAPHIR chamber experiments at high OH reactivity and low NO concentration

TL;DR: In this article, a series of experiments was carried out in the atmosphere simulation chamber SAPHIR in Julich, Germany, in order to investigate the photochemical degradation of isoprene, methyl-vinyl ketone (MVK), methacrolein (MACR) and aromatic compounds by hydroxyl radical (OH) concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of potential interferences in the detection of atmospheric RO x radicals by laser-induced fluorescence under dark conditions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated potential interferences in the detection of OH and peroxy radicals for the LIF instruments of Forschungszentrum Julich for nighttime conditions.
