Radical chemistry at a rural site (Wangdu) in the North China Plain: observation and model calculations of OH, HO 2 and RO 2 radicals
Zhaofeng Tan,Hendrik Fuchs,Keding Lu,Andreas Hofzumahaus,Birger Bohn,Sebastian Broch,Huabin Dong,Sebastian Gomm,Rolf Häseler,Ling-Yan He,Frank Holland,Xin Li,Xin Li,Ying Liu,Sihua Lu,Franz Rohrer,Min Shao,Baolin Wang,Ming Wang,Yusheng Wu,Limin Zeng,Yinsong Zhang,Andreas Wahner,Yuanhang Zhang,Yuanhang Zhang +24 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive field campaign was carried out in summer 2014 in Wangdu, located in the North China Plain, where a month of continuous OH, HO2 and RO2 measurements was achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI
OH reactivity at a rural site (Wangdu) in the North China Plain: contributions from OH reactants and experimental OH budget
Hendrik Fuchs,Zhaofeng Tan,Keding Lu,Birger Bohn,Sebastian Broch,Steven S. Brown,Huabin Dong,Sebastian Gomm,Rolf Häseler,Ling-Yan He,Andreas Hofzumahaus,Frank Holland,Xin Li,Xin Li,Ying Liu,Sihua Lu,Kyung-Eun Min,Kyung-Eun Min,Kyung-Eun Min,Franz Rohrer,Min Shao,Baolin Wang,Ming Wang,Yusheng Wu,Limin Zeng,Yingson Zhang,Andreas Wahner,Yuanhang Zhang,Yuanhang Zhang +28 more
TL;DR: In 2014, a large-scale field campaign was conducted in the densely populated North China Plain to quantify the loss rate coefficient of atmospheric hydroxyl radicals (OH).
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement report: Important contributions of oxygenated compounds to emissions and chemistry of volatile organic compounds in urban air
Caihong Wu,Chaomin Wang,Sihang Wang,Wenjie Wang,Bin Yuan,Jipeng Qi,Baolin Wang,Hongli Wang,Chen Wang,Wei Song,Xinming Wang,Weiwei Hu,Shengrong Lou,Chenshuo Ye,Yuwen Peng,Zelong Wang,Yibo Huangfu,Yan Xie,M. Zhu,Junyu Zheng,Xuemei Wang,Bin Jiang,Zhanyi Zhang,Min Shao +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured VOCs at an urban site in Guangzhou, one of the megacities in the Pearl River Delta (PRD), using a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer/flame ionization detection (GC-MS/FID) and a proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometers (PTR-ToF-MS).
Journal ArticleDOI
The contributions of biomass burning to primary and secondary organics: A case study in Pearl River Delta (PRD), China
Baolin Wang,Ying Liu,Min Shao,Sihua Lu,Ming Wang,Bin Yuan,Zhaoheng Gong,Ling-Yan He,Limin Zeng,Min Hu,Yuanhang Zhang +10 more
TL;DR: Emission ratios (EmRs) of organics to carbon monoxide (CO) obtained from this work generally agree with those from rice straw burning in previous studies, and the estimated formation rate of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) in BB plumes was found to be 24% faster than non-BB plumes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical characterization of oxygenated organic compounds in the gas phase and particle phase using iodide CIMS with FIGAERO in urban air
Chenshuo Ye,Bin Yuan,Yi Lin,Zelong Wang,Weiwei Hu,Tiange Li,Wei Chen,Caihong Wu,Chaomin Wang,Shan Huang,Jipeng Qi,Baolin Wang,Chen Wang,Wei Song,Xinming Wang,E Zheng,Jordan E. Krechmer,Penglin Ye,Zhanyi Zhang,Xuemei Wang,Douglas R. Worsnop,Min Shao,Min Shao +22 more
TL;DR: In this article, measurements of an iodide chemical ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer installed with a Filter Inlet for Gases and AEROsols (FIGAERO-I-CIMS) in both the gas phase and the particle phase at an urban site in Guangzhou, a typical megacity in southern China, during the autumn of 2018 were observed, including organic acids, multi-functional organic compounds, oxidation products of biogenic greenhouse gases and aromatics.
