Journal ArticleDOI
Circumnuclear Star-forming Regions in barred Galaxies
TL;DR: In this paper, high-resolution Ha velocity fields and rotation curves of the circumnuclear star-forming regions of five barred galaxies are presented, and two of the five objects show substantially smaller initial rises than the three others.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Using the Spitzer IRAC science archive for instrument trending
Jessica Krick,James G. Ingalls,Patrick Lowrance,Sean Carey,Jessie L. Christiansen,William J. Glaccum,Carl J. Grillmair,Seppo Laine +7 more
TL;DR: A database of reduced data for all staring mode observations taken with the Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) during the Spitzer warm mission is presented to monitor instrument performance, predict futurestrument performance, and facilitate exoplanet and brown dwarf science.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spitzer IRS Spectral Mapping of the Toomre Sequence: Spatial Variations of PAH, Gas, and Dust Properties in Nearby Major Mergers
S. Haan,Lee Armus,Seppo Laine,Vassilis Charmandaris,Vassilis Charmandaris,J. D. Smith,Francois Schweizer,Bernhard R. Brandl,Aaron S. Evans,Aaron S. Evans,Jason Surace,Tanio Díaz-Santos,Tanio Díaz-Santos,P. Beirao,Eric J. Murphy,Sabrina Stierwalt,John E. Hibbard,John E. Hibbard,M. S. Yun,Thomas H. Jarrett +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the variation of the ionized-gas, PAH, and warm-gas (H_2) properties across the Toomre Sequence and within the galaxies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The stellar populations of quiescent ultra-diffuse galaxies from optical to mid-infrared spectral energy distribution fitting
M. L. Buzzo,Duncan A. Forbes,Jean P. Brodie,Aaron J. Romanowsky,Michelle E. Cluver,Thomas H. Jarrett,Seppo Laine,Warrick J. Couch,Jonah S. Gannon,Anna Ferr'e-Mateu,Nobuhiro Okabe +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the spectral energy distribution (SED) was used to place constraints on the stellar population properties of 29 quiescent ultra-diffuse galaxies (UDGs) across different environments.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Calibration trending in the Spitzer beyond era
Patrick J. Lowrance,Jessica Krick,J. Ingalls,Seppo Laine,Sean Carey,William J. Glaccum,Joseph L. Hora,Carl J. Grillmair +7 more
TL;DR: The IRAC IST created a calibration trending web page, available to the general astronomy community, where the team posts updates of three most pertinent scientific stability measures of the IRAC data: calibration, bias, and bad pixels.
