Self-organized, free-standing TiO2 nanotube membrane for flow-through photocatalytic applications.
TL;DR: A simple and robust fabrication process of a dense and free-standing membrane consisting of vertically oriented, both-side-open TiO2 nanotubes that allows direct, size-selective, flow-through photocatalytic reactions with a very high efficiency is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of Double-Walled TiO2 Nanotubes and Robust Anatase Membranes

Journal ArticleDOI
Bamboo-type TiO2 nanotubes: improved conversion efficiency in dye-sensitized solar cells.
TL;DR: Bamboo-type TiO2 nanotube layers were produced by alternating voltage anodization of Ti and shows significantly increased light harvesting and conversion efficiencies when used in dye sensitized solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
250 µm long anodic TiO2 nanotubes with hexagonal self‐ordering
TL;DR: In this article, a self-organized TiO 2 nanotube layer is used to grow a hexagonal close packed pore array. But the size of the tube is restricted to a critical parameter range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological instability leading to formation of porous anodic oxide films
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of oxide dissolution and ionic conduction in the morphological stability of anodic films was examined and it was shown that patterns of pores with a minimum spacing are possible only within a narrow range of the oxide formation efficiency, which should exist when the metal ion charge exceeds two.
